If you wish to have detailed research conducted into your family's history, you can
choose to commission research into one, two or more surname lines. The
number of lines which you choose will affect the price. However, requesting us to
research more than one family at the same time will save you money!

Essentially a surname line is a family name. Therefore, you have two parental surname lines, four surname lines in your grandparents' generation and so on. We can investigate one surname line at a time, should you be interested in only one branch of your ancestry. However, others may wish to learn as much as possible about all their ancestral lines.
You may not require a full stage of research into one or more lines of your ancestry.
Rather, you may wish a search to be made for a specific birth, marriage or death
certificate (after 1837 in England and Wales, from 1855 in Scotland or after 1864 in
Ireland), for a census entry (1841 to 1911), an entry of baptism, marriage or burial
from a parish register or a probate document.
